Instone Topping-Out Ceremony at the Schönhof Quarter in Frankfurt

Topping-Out Ceremony Catering in Frankfurt for Instone: For the topping-out ceremony at the Schönhof Quartier on July 27, 2023, we developed a modern BBQ catering concept featuring live grill stations, summery drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere. Combining the topping-out wreath ceremony, networking, and a shared celebration, the event successfully blended high-quality cuisine with casual hospitality. At the same time, the catering had to be straightforward and optimally adapted to the demands of an active construction site.

Client: Instone
Occasion: Topping-out ceremony
Guests: 170 people
Venue: Florentinus in the Schönhof Quarter, Frankfurt am Main
Date: July 27, 2023

The event took place in the courtyard of the construction site and presented unique logistical and setup challenges. Our team used a crane to transport heavy equipment into the courtyard the day before. We then coordinated the setup of catering areas, beverage stations, seating areas, and technical equipment. The goal was to create a welcoming atmosphere that captured the spirit of a topping-out ceremony while also providing professional hospitality.

OUR SOLUTION: TOPPING-OUT CEREMONY CATERING IN FRANKFURT WITH A BBQ AND LIVE GRILL STATIONS

We developed a modern BBQ concept featuring regional specialties, open grill stations, and summery beverages. At the same time, we integrated seating areas, bar tables, umbrellas, tents, and technical equipment directly into the event concept. This created a relaxed atmosphere that actively encouraged interaction and communication.

To start, we served a variety of appetizers with farmhouse bread from the bakery and hand-churned butter. These included burrata with zucchini and tomato salsa, egg salad on dark bread with baby spinach and lemon mayonnaise, and beet salad with green pear and parsley. This helped create a relaxed summer atmosphere right from the start.

The highlight of the topping-out ceremony was two live barbecue stations. Our chefs grilled rump steak with herbs and pepper, craft beer-marinated spare ribs, and handmade bratwurst and beef sausages right in front of the guests. We also served marinated halloumi with rosemary and garlic as a vegetarian alternative. For Muslim guests, our team set up a separate grill station without pork. This created an open yet well-thought-out BBQ experience.

For sides, we served Swedish potatoes with Parmesan, roasted bell peppers with green asparagus and lemon thyme, and corn on the cob skewers with chili and lime. The selection was rounded out with homemade sauces such as smoked BBQ sauce, FLOW mustard blend, arugula pesto, truffle mayonnaise, and tomato ketchup.

For dessert, we served FLOW’s homemade crème brûlée as well as layered chocolate creations featuring mousse, ganache, and chocolate crumble. This provided the BBQ with a sophisticated yet relaxed finale.

At the same time, our team developed a beverage concept featuring FLOW Spritz—made with pear, rosehip, and sparkling wine—as well as the non-alcoholic POMP Organic Aperitif from DR. Höhls. The selection was rounded out by FLOW white wine and FLOW red wine from the Bieselin Winery, Tegernseer Hell, Radler, non-alcoholic Clausthaler, as well as various Fritz soft drinks and Selters mineral water. The result was a beverage lineup that was the perfect complement to a summer topping-out ceremony.

In addition, our team coordinated the entire infrastructure, including beer tent furniture, bar tables, umbrellas, refrigerators, a beer dispenser, a lectern, and sound equipment. Logistics staff, chefs, servers, and project managers worked together in a well-coordinated process. Seasonal decorations in the company’s colors complemented the setup and created a cohesive overall look.

THE RESULT: A MODERN TOPPING-OUT CEREMONY WITH A SUMMERY BBQ ATMOSPHERE

Instone’s topping-out ceremony turned into an open and interactive event with a relaxed summer atmosphere. Guests moved freely among the barbecue stations, drink bars, and seating areas. This led to numerous conversations among project participants, partners, and guests.

The combination of regional barbecue, summery drinks, professional logistics, and a relaxed construction site atmosphere created an event that felt high-quality, approachable, and inviting all at once. As a result, the topping-out ceremony was memorable not only for its organization but also for its culinary offerings.

This demonstrated how Richtfest Catering Frankfurt professionally manages construction site events, provides high-quality hospitality, and creates an atmospheric setting to celebrate the special milestones of a construction project.
